Voicing Change Through Art
Voicing Change Through Art
This three-day camp will focus on using art as a vehicle to discuss and explore the issues that your young artists are passionate about. Social justice in this context refers to the relationship between society as a whole and the people that make it up. Justice in such a relationship has to do with equality and access to basic human rights. This week, we will explore issues related to climate change & environmental sustainability, civil rights and diversity, homelessness, animal rights, the struggles of underrepresented populations and much more. The young activists in this camp will be challenged to explore their perspective of the world around them and create art about what they think could be changed for the better. While we will be addressing some heavy topics this week, we will also be having fun making art and getting to know each other in our similarities and our differences. We cannot wait to start making art and voicing change with your young artists next week!
This camp will be held 9-4pm at the Wild Roots Art Barn on July 28-30th. This camp is aimed for children aged 9-14. $175 per/child.
